Xinet Server- the DAM of record, for the Agency of Record.

A uniquely powerful, integrated solution.

With Xinet’s server-based software, you get a dynamic digital asset management environment seamlessly integrated with a powerful graphic production and networking infrastructure. The result? A system that breaks down barriers between staff, vendors, and clients, as well as accelerating creative and production workflow. Xinet’s DAM solution offers:

24/7 access via the Web. Browse or search assets anytime, from anywhere.

Customizable interface. Create a profit center for your agency or service department by matching DAM interfaces to any brand.

Superb scalability. Powers multi-site collaborative networks, growing as your enterprise does.

Fast repurposing. Order custom versions of a file, then download to your desktop.

Easy image uploading. A simple drag-and-drop operation from anywhere in the world.

Instant Previews. Every time a user hit’s “apple-s”, a preview is generated. Immediately.

Controlled Access. Incredibly rich access rights, integrated with AD. Or not.

Custom Metadata. No limit to the number and types of metadata fields you can create. Without having a DBA on hand.

Online Annotation. Users can comment, annotate, and exchange info online through built in annotations.

Video and interactive files

The Video module uses the Xinet Video Engine to extend the Xinet workflow by introducing highly-automated and easy-to-use scene-detection heuristics, coupled with low-resolution video conversion functionality. Portal users can browse and search for the original video, low-resolution versions, or key frames that have been stored in the Xinet database.
The Video module also stores previews of Flash SWF, HTML, MP3 files, and 3D AutoCAD files, and includes a Video Reel Generator which allows users to compose storyboards using assets on the system and can even extract text from files and store it in the database for later searching. Video file compatibility provides details about the types of files with which the Video module is compatible.
All this happens automagically: drag-n-drop, save, or upload a file to Xinet Server, and behind the scenes the necessary work gets done.

Fast asset repurposing

Xinet server supports over 100 different graphics file formats, and one of it’s greatest strengths is image conversion and repurposing. Each and every file put on the server get’s 3 previews generated and stored away in a database for immediate retrieval.

But wait, there’s more! Through a web browser a user can intuitively and easily perform self-service transforms- convert a PSD to a 150dpi greyscale TIFF, for example. (hey, it could happen !)

Pretty much any file that Xinet Server can handle, a user can download by themselves(!) a version to meet their needs.

full xmp compliance

Xinet can read XMP data embedded in files and in turn, write XMP information into files that support embedded XMP packets. For files that cannot embed XMP packets—for example, Microsoft Office files—it is still possible to maintain XMP information within Xinet. You can associate XMP data with a file inside the database, and view that information inside Pilot.
Downloading associated XMP information from Xinet provides more information.

Integrated Archiving

Integrated Archiving allows you to effortlessly manage your data across it’s lifespan. When jobs get archived, they are written off (to tape, disk, or cloud) and the original files deleted. Users can still search for and browse through these files as if they are ‘live’, and with a distinctive flag that shows if files are live or not, the user experience is unmatched.

Fine grained permissions allow you to control access to (and restore from) archives:

Trusted admins can archive and restore.

Power users can restore (with size limits, if you prefer)

Casual users can request restores, which are sent to an admin for approval.

Limited users can be prevented from seeing any archives at all.

And of course, these are all easily set in the admin interface.

Workflow automation

Xinet has a fantastic toolset for automation. In general, if you’re doing something a few times a day, Xinet can probably help remove manual drudgery.

Here’s some common tasks people automate:

Push a preview and metadata automatically to a SAAS service when a file gets saved with a metadata set to a specified data.

Create an alternate format and file away  copy of a file when new files appear along a defined path.

Email a CSR when a file gets uploaded

“With Xinet, I’m getting home on time at the end of the day”

“When we put Xinet in, I stopped getting questions about where a file is. The previews for archived files are a lifesaver!”

Xinet is simply the most powerful and easiest to use DAM out there.
