NAPC-technology matters

Unlike many server production systems, Xinet doesn’t change the way people work, so only minimal training is required for most users. For your designated server administrators, however, it’s a little more intensive.

We immerse them in a rigorous training program - starting in our facility and ending in yours - to help ensure a smooth transition to your new system.

We learn from you before you learn from us.

The very first thing we do at NAPC is gain a thorough understanding of your current workflow and existing manufacturing systems. By learning how you work, as well as your goals and objectives, our team of professionals can design a solution that's exactly right for you.

Hot Staging. A very important warm-up.

Before it ships to you (and before we engage in any training), we build your system in our home office in Waltham, MA, and thoroughly test it to resolve any issues. As much as possible, we duplicate your actual working environment. Hardware is configured. Sample workflows are set up. Volumes are mounted. Once everything is staged, we run your system and run it hard - for about two weeks.

2-3 days of intensive training at our site.

When it's ready, we'll ask you to send 2 or 3 of your top people (systems administrators, production managers or studio heads) to join us. Training on their actual equipment, they'll learn system administration, application functionality and management, and system customization. It's a great opportunity for them to live it and breathe it - away from the distractions of their home office. Quite often during these interactive sessions, we discover new ways for our customers to improve their workflow processes.

From the training ground to the proving ground.

After your system is shipped to your location, we'll install it, test it and ramp it into full production. Then we'll train your administrators - again - before moving on to your users. If you have a very large workgroup, we can train trainers in your office to spread the word. Because Xinet adapts to your working methods, training users is mostly a matter of telling them which volume to mount and which spooler to print to, as well as introducing them to any new efficiencies in workflow that the system offers.


As long as people at your site need us, we'll be there. Just how thorough are we? Well, we even come back 30 days later to make sure everyone is getting the most out of the new system. And, of course, our live support center is there for you if any wrinkles need to be ironed out.

Refresher courses are always available.

If new people join your staff or others need some brushing up, send them to our refresher training courses. We'll get them up to speed fast.
