NAPC-technology matters

There are literally dozens of products on the market that enable server-based production, collaboration or asset management. We’ve chosen to design our solutions around Xinet’s software suite for 3 reasons.

Xinet is:

Proven technology. Widely used throughout the world and based on over a decade of industry-leading engineering.
Uniquely powerful. It all works seamlessly together, providing an automated, real-time solution no other system can match.
Highly customizable. The open architecture of Xinet's WebNative software allows us to adapt it to your environment. NAPC is one of the leading developers of Xinet add-ons.

The Xinet software suite

FullPress.

This robust server software engine sits at the center of your workflow, providing client-server file sharing, print spooling, automated output generation of PostScript, PDF, TIFF/IT, and much more.

By moving processor-heavy tasks to the central server, FullPress greatly speeds up workflow. What's more, it automatically generates low-res FPOs of hi-res artwork, keeping file sizes small so users can work and print faster. For output, it automatically restores the hi-res with guaranteed accuracy. Because users never leave their familiar desktop environment, they can share and manipulate assets on the server with ease.

WebNative.

This powerful tool opens your digital assets and workflow to the world at large. Using a standard Web browser, clients and other users can search for, download, upload, preview and re-purpose files and artwork anytime (with the proper permissions). Your business can easily collaborate across locations to speed up approvals and job-turnarounds, as well as maintain digital libraries for customers and manage corporate brand assets and collateral.

Among the many benefits it offers, WebNative allows users to view multi-page, native Quark documents with their Web browser, view archived files as easily as if they were on the server, and convert hi-res originals on the fly for different media formats.

WebNative Venture.

Adds an enterprise-strength SQL database to the workflow, creating a robust asset management system that's completely and automatically integrated with production. Organizations can now share, manage and repurpose assets and archives with even greater speed and efficiency. And administrators can easily determine which assets users see and what they can do with them.

FlashNet and FlashWeb

Used extensively in the print and pre-press industry, FlashNet controls data archive and backup operations for high-end server-based installations, allowing easy data transfer to and from servers and clients on all major platforms.

FlashWeb is a suite of plug-ins for Xinet. It enables users with the appropriate permissions to remotely browse files and directories using WebNative, and backup or archive work. Users can view file information and preview assets even if their files have been moved to near-line or off-line archives. Simply by adding files to a WebNative ³basket,² users can schedule or instantly execute archive and backup operations, as well as restore files on demand.

Pageflex from Bitstream.

Lets users dynamically change content online, making it ideal for brands that need to customize collateral and campaigns for local markets. Layouts "flex" to accommodate content while still adhering to design guidelines and brand identity standards.

NAPC add-ons

In the end, it all comes down to the numbers. Will the return on your technology investment justify the cost? How soon will it pay for itself? How is it going to make or save the company money? In these ROIs, we provide answers to those questions, along with the numbers to back it all up. We think you'll find this information very useful, particularly when it comes time to make your own case to management.
