The capabilities of Pageflex have given Tracy Locke a distinct advantage in attracting new
business and have enabled them to sell additional services to existing clients. But that's not all.
The agency is now using PageFlex internally to keep costs down and automate certain
processes.
The efficiencies of PageFlex allow them to put systems together to execute small marketing
programs more cost-effectively. "Our overhead is higher than smaller agencies," Moore says.
"Rather than competing head-to-head, we try to be more productive and automate processes
where possible to create an enormous volume of deliverables, much more than an art director
alone could do."
While the process may start with an art director doing an initial layout in In Design, PageFlex can
take over the updating and customization of files. For example, in its Dallas office, Tracy Locke
built a site to streamline the creation of coupons for a major client. "Now we don't have to build
a new mechanical every time there's a change to a coupon," Moore explains. "And changes can
be done by an account person rather than a studio person. That studio person can be doing
more skilled stuff."
In the future, Tracy Locke will be working with other emerging technologies to streamline
production and workflow. To do that, they'll be teaming up with a familiar partner. "We'll be
calling on NAPC heavily to help us take this next step," Moore says.
