New add-ons enhance WebNative GUI and collaboration
WALTHAM, MA —March 1, 2005 —NAPC (www.napc.com) today
announced the immediate availability of Elegant and Elegant Lite,
the first of the company’s new line of add-ons for Xinet’s
WebNative. These custom WebNative styles add groundbreaking functionality,
improved navigation, and sheer graphical beauty to WebNative’s
plain old look and feel.
With Elegant’s more approachable and intuitive interface,
it’s far easier for companies to share digital assets over
the Web via WebNative. Administrators now have the ability to create
just the appearance (and experience) that users or clients want
when accessing images, greatly enhancing collaboration. And they
don’t have to spend a small fortune on design, engineering
and deployment to do it.
Ad agencies, for example, can give each of their clients a customized
GUI with a uniquely branded look, ideal for the demands of today’s
digital and brand asset management. It’s as easy as choosing
from the dozens of colors, styles, fonts and headers available in
Elegant and quickly applying them to every screen.
While users will immediately notice Elegant's appearance, its enhancements
to WebNative are far more than cosmetic. "Elegant is a collaborative
effort between an agency design team and NAPC’s own development
team,” said Kenny Kirsch, Director of Strategic Solutions
at NAPC. “Together, we looked at the WebNative interface piece
by piece, and screen by screen, to see how we could offer up all
the components of WebNative in a more intuitive way. At every turn,
we asked ourselves how we could give users one-button results, so
everything would always be right at their fingertips."
That thinking led to numerous enhancements such as the new Supermail
e-mail client within Elegant, which lets users share assets simply
by sending links to files. "This is groundbreaking technology,"
Kirsch said. "The ability to share assets with others, without
creating usernames and passwords for them, is going to change WebNative.
It's just so much easier."
Elegant also includes a new Lightbox feature that lets users gather
and view images from all over the file system while they browse.
Unlike WebNative, which requires users to go back to their shopping
cart each time they want to see their images, Elegant saves time
by always keeping selected images in view. Users also have the option
of e-mailing lightboxes within Elegant.
Another notable feature in Elegant is the preconfigured Custom Image
Order. Now users who need to repurpose assets for presentations
(or other uses where hi-res source files aren’t needed) can
download jpegs at the touch of a button.
Elegant Lite includes all of the basic interface and ease-of-use
enhancements in the full version of Elegant, but does not include
Supermail and the Lightbox. Both Elegant and Elegant Lite retain
all of the core functionality in WebNative.
Availability
Elegant and Elegant Lite are sold exclusively through NAPC. Both
are available immediately. NAPC includes full installation services
for both products.
